BJ: “Too Much Trouble”… Until Someone Finally Cared.

BJ: 7 years old, Male

BJ 4 28 26
BJ was six years old when his person decided they didn’t want him anymore. He was “too much trouble,” they said. But the truth was far more painful: BJ wasn’t difficult — he was sick, very sick. When he arrived at F.A.T. Cat Haven, he was thin, crawling with fleas, and clearly struggling. We rushed him straight to our vet, and the diagnosis was grim. BJ was severely anemic from the massive flea infestation. He also had a terrible case of worms and was dangerously malnourished. Without intervention, he didn’t have much time left. But BJ wasn’t ready to give up, and neither were we. With treatment, good food, and steady care, he began to recover. Slowly at first — then all at once. Today, BJ is a healthy 12-pound boy with bright eyes and a full life. He spends his days exploring, playing with his friends, and coming when he’s called (especially if treats are involved). At night, he curls up safely inside, loved and content.“Too much trouble”? Hardly. BJ is one of the sweetest, most loving cats you could ever meet — proof that sometimes the only thing “wrong” with an animal is the person who failed them.
