TUFFY'S STORY -- YOU ARE MISSED!
Notice the right ear is notched. That means he is a feral cat that has been neutered and released. Well I trapped him outside our local Humane Society in May 2001. He wasn't keeping his distance from people and the highway, both of which can be fatal for any cat but especially a feral cat who has no home to go too. Two days after coming to F.A.T. Cat Haven he decided that it was a great place since he was "off the streets", sheltered and had food anytime he wanted. Needless to say he decided that it was nice to be loved, petted and hugged. From feral cat to pussy cat in just two days. He's made it his job to be the first to check out strangers visiting and entering the sanctuary.
He was such a sweet cat - we have never regreted bringing him to F.A.T. Cat Haven. He was probably 5 years old or more when we picked him up and he spent the rest of his life here in the sanctuary. He died in his sleep on February 12, 2011 at about 15 plus years old.
You are missed by visitors, volunteers, your buddies and most of all Hal and Chris.
